Apple may finally revamp the iPad Mini four years after its last major update with new 7.9-inch version in 2019, report claims.
The iPhone maker is rumored to be releasing two lower-priced iPad models in 2019, including a 7.9-inch version and another model that’s over 10 inches, the China Business Times reported.
If the speculation proves to be true, it would mark the first major revamp of the iPad Mini since a fourth-generation version of the device was launched in 2015.
The Chinese newspaper said Apple could release the 7.9-inch iPad by early 2019.
Both a new iPad Mini and another refreshed iPad could go into production by the end of the year.
It’s unclear what the refreshed Mini will look like or if it’ll get any internal upgrades.
Some expect it to get a faster processor and the addition of slimmer bezels and a bigger screen, much like the newer models.
Meanwhile, the other iPad with a 10-inch-plus screen is expected to be cheaper than the 2018 iPad Pro models.
Apple in October debuted new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad models.
