Ondo Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, Tests positive for Covid-19.
Governor Rotimi Akeredolu was tested positive to Covid-19.
Governor Rotimi via his Twitter handle,said he got a confirmation of a positive result for Covid-19 on Tuesday morning.
The governor said he is already in self-isolation as required by the management guidelines of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for someone who is asymptomatic.
The Governor urged for people prayer and stressed the dangers placed by people who are asymptomatic, and the need to stay at home, to curb the spread of Covid-19.
“Today I tested positive for #COVID19. All is well. I’m asymptomatic and have been self isolating. Work continues. Your continued prayers over my well being are most appreciated.”
The Governor now joins a list of top public officers who have tested positive for the disease.They include Bala Mohammed, Governor of Bauchi State; Abba Kyari, the chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari; Seyi Makinde,governor of Oyo state, and Nasir el-Rufai,governor of Kaduna.

Earlier today, I got confirmation of a positive result for Covid-19. I am asymptomatic and not displaying any symptoms. I am currently self-isolating and supervised home management will be administered by the wonderful team at our Infectious Disease Hospital. I ask that we all stay safe and be well.
